Speaker: Lukus Counterman - Have you been tempted recently to turn from God? Have you been pressured by someone in your life to distance yourself from the Lord? Have you read a book, listened to a podcast, or watched a movie recently that started to erode your faith? There are many ways that God’s people are tempted to defect, but the Lord wants us to remain loyal to him and close to his heart. In Deuteronomy 13, we learn how to avoid spiritual defection when false teachers, family members, friends, or base fellows seek to dissuade us. God wants us to build some spiritual defenses into our lives and incorporate some safety strategies that will help us stay close to him. May the Lord teach and preserve us.
