Passage: 1 John 3:1 & Galatians 4:4-6 Speaker: Pastor Jon Kopp Series: Gospel Defined

Length: 23 mins 29 secs Plays: 3401

Speaker: Jon Kopp - The airport atrium was packed with people. Many had signs, others were holding balloons. It was a party...and the guest of honor hadn’t even arrived yet. Our friends were bringing their son home from Russia, and we were part of his first ever gotcha party. Adoption is an incredibly beautiful picture. In a few short seconds you can get a glimpse of costly deep sacrificial love, a life-altering new relationship and unbelievable joy all wrapped up in a new family. As sinners, we are without a family--lost in far off hostility from our Creator, but the gospel defined tells us that God offers adoption--sonship to His people. Adoption is God’s work in making sinners members of His family.
