Passage: Galatians 3:10-13 & Galatians 4:4-7 Speaker: Pastor Jon Kopp Series: Gospel Defined

Length: 24 mins 34 secs Plays: 2990

Speaker: Jon Kopp - A ransom must to be paid for you. Your first thought when hearing that probably has something to do with a note left behind by a kidnapper. “Pay up or else.” So, have you been kidnapped? Not really. Ransom and kidnapping have actually only been associated with one other in recent times. Historically, the idea of ransom meant the price to purchase back someone who was held in bondage or slavery. Because we haven’t kept God’s law, a ransom is required. We are in bondage because of the law’s demands, and our only hope for freedom is if our ransom is paid! The gospel defined says that Jesus Himself is that redemption. Redemption means that Jesus secures our release from bondage by the paying our ransom with His blood. The ransom has been paid!
