Nothing is too Hard for God

Passage: Genesis 18:1-15 Speaker: Pastor Lukus Counterman Series: By Faith

Speaker: Lukus Counterman - The Lord appeared to Abraham again, this time in human form with two accompanying angels. In a flurry of hospitality, Abraham arranged rest, refreshment, and a banquet for his guests. He stood with them as they ate under a tree, and there the Lord reiterated his promise of a son through Sarah. Like Abraham, when Sarah heard the prospect of having a baby at her age, she laughed. But her laugh betrayed a faithless heart. From her perspective, it was humanly impossible to have a child. It is amidst that doubt, that the Lord uttered a significant rhetorical question, “Is anything too hard for God?” This morning, we must wrestle with the same question. Our doubts may not be wrapped around having a child, but perhaps we have financial, physical, relational, or spiritual difficulties. Let the words of the Lord echo in your heart – “Is anything too hard for God?” May the Lord encourage us as we look into Genesis 18 this morning.
