Speaker: Lukus Counterman - 1 Corinthians 6 addresses two broad themes – litigation and sexuality. The hinge between these two sections (v. 9-11), reminds believers that the way they handle conflict and coitus should be informed by the redemptive work of Christ. While the unrighteous behave with greed and immorality, Christians pursue deference and purity. Because believers have been washed from their sins, set apart for the Lord, and declared righteous on the bases of Jesus’ death and resurrection, they can now live a life that glorifies God. May the Lord teach us from his word and may we respond with the obedience of faith.
