Speaker: Jotham Manoranjan - In our passage today we are challenged by an extraordinary example of giving, by the churches of Macedonia, towards the relief of the church in Jerusalem. The passage provides insights as to why the Macedonians were able to give so generously, despite their own strife and poverty. We will see that giving is seldom tied to our surplus or lack of material wealth, but that true giving is something that is spurred on by the grace of God in our lives. Let this passage be an encouragement and reminder to us about the joy of giving and the freedom of giving in Christ.
