Speaker: Lukus Counterman - In Acts 13 we see missions work extend from the church of Antioch through the sending out of Saul and Barnabas. In the place where believers were first called Christians, the name of Christ was going to project north and west by means of a mission team. Antioch, a well-mixed, well-taught, well-led church wasn’t content to keep the gospel for itself. Through the leading of the Spirit, they set apart some of their best people and sent them out for the sake of Christ’s name. In our text this weekend we are going to learn about the requirements concerning senders and goers in the missionary task of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. May the Lord help us as we consider our part in this missionary movement.
