Speaker: Jon Kopp - You don’t need to look long into our world of instant communication and social feedback to see that we live incredibly individualistic lives. We rush to facebook or tweet or instagram the enviable moments of our lives on vacation at the beach, enjoying an incredible plate of food at a nice restaurant, or laughing at our child’s funny antics rather than actually enjoying the moment of being there with them. We are very skilled at letting the world see us, but spending time in a relationship with someone else is a skill we often show our weakness in. God didn’t intend that for us. Our study in Genesis has reminded us that, “It is not good for us to be alone.” We were made to live life with God and others. So, for those wrapped up in individualistic lives, God’s word will redefine life this morning. Life is life together with God and others, because life in our sin cursed world is difficult. And if we try to face them alone in our own strength, we will fall. May God change us by his grace to live in His design for relationships.
