Speaker: Lukus Counterman - The church of Corinth was obsessed with flashy gifts and spectacular demonstrations of the Spirit. They stratified levels of spirituality based on the gifts people had. Instead of these manifestations of grace building up the body of Christ, self-promotion and individualism were eroding church unity. So, Paul teaches about genuine spirituality and how it promotes the Lordship of Christ, the unity of the body, and the edification of other believers. May the Lord help us appreciate the diversity of gifts in the church, and may we use them to build up the body in love for the glory God.
