Speaker: D V - Matthew’s gospel is the most Jewish of the four gospels, but it also records strong statements about God’s heart for the nations. This week’s passage ends the book in abrupt, dramatic fashion. The effect is that Jesus is speaking directly into the camera—not only addressing his disciples, but also the church today. He gives us a compelling mission: make disciples of all peoples.
