Speaker: Lukus Counterman - So far in his letter to the Galatians, Paul has explained that there is only one Gospel, the criterion by which all human opinions are to be tested. Without doubt it is a very wonderful gospel. But where di Paul get it all from? Was it the product of his own ingenuity? Or was it some form of stale secondhand stuff he pulled from the religious storehouse? Did Paul steal his message from the other apostles in Jerusalem as the false teachers evidently claimed? To prove that he received his gospel directly from Christ, Paul offers evidence from his own autobiography – his radically changed life. As we look at the testimony of God’s transforming grace in Paul’s life, let us remember his work in our own lives. In the end, may others glorify God because of it.
